The Obukhovsky and Lipovka sanatoriums, where they were going to accommodate refugees from the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR), are restoring planned work, said Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Pavel Krekov during a briefing.
He also apologized to the patients who were evicted from there and explained it as an “extraordinary situation”.
According to him, the refugees, if they arrive in the Sverdlovsk region, will be placed in free sanatoriums, where the load is now 12-13%.
“There will be no connection with the evacuated people who are really in a difficult situation,” Krekov said.
He later added that the groups of refugees who will come to the region have not yet been formed. There is no practical possibility to say how many children, women, people over 60 years old there,” the deputy governor said.
He added that all those arriving in the region will be tested for coronavirus and, if desired, will be vaccinated against covid.
Earlier, a Znak.com source said that the Sverdlovsk region is ready to accept 600 refugees from Donbass. It became known that the Lipovka hospital and the Obukhovsky sanatorium were vacated for them, from where the patients were discharged ahead of schedule. Later, the governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Evgeny Kuyvashev, instructed to compensate patients for the cost of living in sanatoriums, as well as send undertreated patients to other rehabilitation centers.
