Russia assured of no intention to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine

Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, in an interview with the media portal assured that Moscow has no intentions regarding the use of nuclear weapons against the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

“First of all, I would like to say that we have a nuclear doctrine. And it says that we will not be the first to use nuclear weapons,” the diplomat said.

He stressed that Russia can use this type of weaponry only if there is a threat to the existence of the country. Polyansky clarified that Russia is not going to use nuclear weapons during the armed conflict in Ukraine. According to him, from a military point of view, it does not make sense.

Earlier it became known that Russia is developing a new type of military operations using nuclear weapons to protect against potential aggression from the United States. It is noted that over time, Washington’s aggression against Moscow is growing due to the fact that the United States is losing its leading position in the world, which they consider Russia to be guilty of.
