State Duma deputy from the Communist Party Valery Rashkin reimbursed 628 thousand rubles of procedural costs, and also agreed to buy a moose.
This was announced by his lawyer Konstantin Lazarev, Izvestia writes.
The lawyer noted that the charge against the deputy included an amount of 80 thousand rubles, which he immediately paid off, however, at the plenary meeting of the State Duma, where the issue of taking the case to court was decided, a representative of the prosecutor’s office announced the amount of damage in the amount of 400 thousand rubles.
According to the lawyer, Rashkin paid 320 thousand rubles, and then another 80 thousand rubles. In addition, after receiving the indictment, he paid another 148 thousand rubles as procedural costs, the lawyer specified.
