Prince Harry and his wife Meghan are evicted from the British residence
According to media reports, Harry received an eviction notice after the release of his memoirs.
Frogmore Cottage was transferred to the perpetual use of Harry and Megan back in the days of Elizabeth II – by her order, the Queen gave her grandson a cottage with 10 bedrooms on the territory of Windsor Castle in Berkshire. Four years ago, Harry made repairs there for 2.5 million pounds, and he received the money from a grant (read – taxpayers), and only later did the prince pay for the work out of his own pocket. After a quarrel with the royal family, Harry and Meghan moved to the United States, but Frogmore still retained and used the house as a residence in England.
However, the queen died, and the prince released the scandalous memoir “Spare”, where he went through many members of the royal family. According to the British media, in January after the publication of the book, Harry received an eviction notice from Buckingham Palace. According to rumors, they want to give Frogmore to Prince Andrew. Interestingly, for him it will be more of a punishment.
After all, Andrew also distinguished himself in front of the royal family. He became one of the participants in a resonant scandal with Jeffrey Epstein, an American financier who was accused of creating a harem of girls for the rich and powerful of this world. One of these girls just accused Prince Andrew of sexual harassment, but the case did not reach the court. The prince was able to pay off.
Since then, Andrew’s bones have been badly cut at Buckingham Palace, and now he can’t afford the 31-bedroom Royal Lodge residence. Therefore, a fined Harry must release his more modest living space for an equally fined uncle.
