The United Russia party has begun a large-scale renewal of the mobilization base of its supporters in preparation for the presidential elections. Too many citizens with “wrong” views were found in it
The United Russia party has begun a large-scale renewal of the mobilization base of its supporters in preparation for the presidential elections. The goal is to increase the base to 30 million people by 2024. At the same time, we should talk about real supporters of the party in power and Vladimir Putin, Kommersant writes.
According to the publication, citing its sources, there are currently 25 million people in the database, however, as the audit found out, only about 40% of them are truly loyal to the authorities.
One of Kommersant’s interlocutors said that the database contained many Russians who were critical of the government and even opposition supporters who read and like the publications of its leaders (the database was checked, among other things, by analyzing the digital profiles of supporters).
In the updated database, the level of loyalty, which will also be measured, will have to be 90%, and at least 90% of the loyalists must come to the elections.
Kommersant recalls that in last year’s elections to the State Duma, United Russia was unable to implement “target mobilization” (when only their supporters campaign for elections) due to problems with the mobilization base.
