Nine deputies of the last convocation of the State Duma, who could not be re-elected to the new one, still did not move out of their service apartments, although the elections were held in September last year.
This was reported by the Center for Anti-Corruption Policy of the Yabloko party with reference to the response of the Prosecutor General’s Office to its request for ex-deputies to live in official housing.
The supervisory authority redirected the appeal to the State Duma Committee on Regulations. There were no violations found. The Center for Anti-Corruption Policy plans to send a second request to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Information that nine deputies of the State Duma of the last convocation, who were not re-elected for a new term, still occupy official apartments in Moscow, appeared in November of the last goal.
On November 15, a meeting of the Council of the State Duma was held, at which its speaker Vyacheslav Volodin raised the issue of vacating service housing. He did not list the names of ex-parliamentarians who did not want to leave their apartments, but asked the leaders of the factions to influence them.
According to the current legislation, official apartments are provided to those deputies of the State Duma who do not have housing in Moscow. They can use them until the end of their term of office, and it ended on October 12 of this year, when the new convocation of the lower house began its work.
