Former State Duma deputies, the failed Russian ambassador to Cape Verde, and now the deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo, Natalia Poklonskaya, in her telegram channel appealed to Ukrainians “not to take weapons, but to hand them over.”
“Let the Kyiv authorities not hide behind the backs of ordinary people, but bear responsibility for the crimes committed against Ukrainians since 2014. We have nothing to share. Remember that we are one people, and everyone wants peace! All the peoples of Russia wish peace and restoration to Ukraine,” writes Poklonskaya.
She emphasizes that she is Ukrainian by nationality and is proud of “her roots and country.” Now Poklonskaya is a citizen of Russia, but the ex-deputy assures that she would continue to be a citizen of Ukraine, “if not for the criminal Kyiv regime.”
Earlier, Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko said that all those who criticize Russia’s military operation in the Donbass “think about their momentary problems and difficulties.”
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a special military operation in Ukraine. According to Putin, its goal is the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the protection of people in the Donbass who are being subjected to genocide. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the introduction of martial law in the country. Ukraine also severed diplomatic relations with Russia.
