Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that the Russian Federation is preparing destabilization actions in the country
Namely, attacks involving saboteurs who will attack government buildings and take hostages.
According to the president, she received documents from the Ukrainian authorities (Zelensky had previously mentioned this), which documented the places and logistics for preparing subversive actions. Also, these papers allegedly contain instructions for citizens of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Serbia and Montenegro to enter Moldova. Sandu also accused internal forces of cooperation with Russia – the Shor party, veteran organizations and some people who are associated with businessman and politician Vladimir Plahotniuc. According to Sandu, the main goal of the Russian Federation is the overthrow of the constitutional order, the change of power and the establishment of another one that would stop the process of integration into the EU.
Because of this, Sandu was instructed to take a number of measures. State institutions and security forces should increase security measures. And the parliament should soon pass bills that will provide the Information and Security Service and the prosecutor’s office with the tools to more “effectively deal with risks to the country’s security.” Sandu also urged to bring to justice all participants in the actions that will be directed to change the current regime.
