Medvedev ruled out the existence of civilization without Russia
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, mentioned in an interview that it's impossible to have civilization without Russia, and this issue won't be resolved on the Ukrainian front if taken seriously.
The politician emphasized that there should be no doubt, and Russia is necessary in the world.
Previously, Medvedev said that it's not feasible to disregard Russia and the Russkiy Mir, and he urged to use strong measures against the widespread Russophobia in the West.
The deputy chairman of the Security Council pointed out that destroying Russia won't be as easy as it was with the Soviet Union, and the West is deeply mistaken about this.
He highlighted the historical principle that when an empire collapses, it affects half of the world, and he added that Western countries cannot comprehend this at all.
In March 2022, Medvedev stated that the United States sees itself as beyond international law. He explained that after the USSR's collapse, the United States saw themselves as the winners and the sole beneficiaries. Therefore, they believe they can judge everyone, make decisions, and do whatever they want, emphasized the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council.
Dmitry Medvedev explained that the Western world's persistent desire to dismantle Russia and its Russophobia led to the need for a special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine.
He pointed out that the refusal to recognize the results of the 2014 Crimea referendum showed the intention of Western countries to create a special 'Anti-Russia' in the form of Ukraine.
Previously, Dmitry Medvedev assessed the results of the year of the special operation in Ukraine and compared it to the events of the Great Patriotic War.
The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council emphasized that Russia's enemies are leading the world towards a complete failure and apocalypse by supplying Ukraine with weapons and obstructing a peaceful resolution, but Moscow will not allow this.
Medvedev pointed out that Russia is not isolated in this effort; the West and its allies make up only 15 percent of the world's population. Those who share Moscow's aspirations are much more numerous. Preserving the power of a large country and the authority of partners, according to the politician, is the key to preserving the future worldwide.
Previously, the deputy chairman of the Security Council said that a multitude of enemies rose up against Moscow, aiming to eradicate Russia. He identified Russia's enemies as 'Ukrainian and European neo-fascists, the United States, other Anglo-Saxons, and their vassals (about fifty countries).'
Medvedev noted that the West was pushing Russia into the abyss, only caring about its own interests and attempting to eliminate a competitor.
The politician added that such negotiations turned out to be meaningless formulas that concealed the true intentions of the opponents.
Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Security Council expressed the opinion that the West wants to defeat Russia by proxy and only prolongs the agony of Ukraine. According to him, such a goal for Western countries justifies any costs for them and therefore the suffering of Ukrainians and Europeans from the conflict does not matter to them.
Medvedev said that there were two points of no return in relations between Russia and the West. The first of these was when Western countries supported Georgia’s aggression against South Ossetia in 2008, then they were given a “quick and firm response.”
The second is the non-recognition of the results of the referendum in Crimea in 2014, when the population of the peninsula expressed its will.
Earlier, Medvedev, summing up the results of 2022, said that Western countries, by their actions, sent a signal to the whole world that they should not be dealt with. As an example, he cited the constant expansion of anti-Russian sanctions and attempts to discredit Moscow.
