In Russia, responded to the intention of Moldova to abandon neutrality
Russian Senator Andrey Klimov, commenting on Telegram the words of Moldovan President Maia Sandu about a possible entry into a military alliance, wondered if the head of state was ready to repeat the “suicidal policy” of his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky.
The politician recalled that Sandu is 50 years old, 20 of which she lived in the USSR. In this regard, Klimov believes, she should know history, as well as the fact that one should not trust the fate of her people to the West.
“Is Mrs. Sandu really so indifferent to the Moldovans and so dependent on Washington, its European servants, that she is ready to repeat the suicidal policy of such national traitors from neighboring Ukraine as [Петр] Poroshenko and Zelensky?!” he stressed.
Klimov noted that Ukraine’s problems began after the pro-Western coup d’état in 2014, the subsequent rejection of the constitutional committee and the announcement of Kyiv’s course towards joining NATO.
Earlier, Maia Sandu said that in order to join a large military alliance, Chisinau could change its neutrality. At the same time, Moldova must maintain permanent neutrality in accordance with its constitution. This excludes the entry of the republic into NATO or the CSTO.
