Former senator, incumbent speaker of parliament and son of an alcohol magnate – losers of the EP primaries in Ossetia

It seems that a real turning point of the elites is underway in North Ossetia. And, the relative media calm, after five stormy years of Bitarov, threatens to turn into a real storm.

If the first year for the head of Ossetia, Sergei Menyailo, was relatively cloudless, then today’s vote counts accumulate serious passionarity in the region. According to analysts close to the Kremlin dealing with the Caucasus, “all the political forces in the region were in a state of hibernation and were simply watching the situation. But, the upcoming primaries will be a kind of turning point of sentiment and aspirations.

Considering the list of persons who were not included in the list of “passers” of the new September convocation, and this, for example:

    ⁃ Alexander Totoonov (former senator)

⁃ Alexey Machnev (speaker of two convocations)

⁃ Batraz Kochiev (son of vodka magnate and State Duma deputy Robert Kochiev)

⁃ Ruslan Khadartsev (acting deputy and nephew of the well-known politician in Ossetia Maharbek Khadartsev)

And many other well-known and respected (quite powerful persons).

Multiplying this by very strained relations with Artur Taymazov and Zurab Makiyev (deputies of the State Duma from Ossetia) and rather negative ones with Arsen Fadzaev (the current senator from Ossetia), the future turns out to be not very bright. Since, the unification of these and, albeit still disparate forces, in synergy can give a result that is not very pleasant for Menyailo.

The same analysts say that “the main generator of all the above-mentioned manipulations is the deputy head of the administration of the head of Ossetia, Murat Tkhostov.” Which, by the way, was also a participant in the primaries, where he scored 19,000 votes, thus falling into the top ten winners. To the question, is it deserved? We were answered: “And you conduct a survey, how many people know Murat in Ossetia. Family, relatives, friends. There won’t even be a good thousand of them.” But, nevertheless, Tkhostov is a lot of puppetry. But what his boss will reap is still unknown, but weighing the forces and the threat, one thing is clear – the chair will shake. And perhaps faster than you might think.
