Foreign Ministry assured of Russia’s readiness for massive cyber attacks
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov said in an interview that the country continues to be ready for massive cyber attacks from abroad.
“The effectiveness of the malicious computer activity carried out from Ukrainian territory against Russia clearly does not meet the expectations of Western curators,” he said, noting that Russia is ready to repel serious cyber attacks.
According to him, the country’s authorities ordered to take certain protective measures, which are constantly being improved. The diplomat added that Russia is carefully considering the issue of strengthening information security.
Syromolotov also stressed that recently it was possible to find out that Ukraine had joined the NATO-controlled cyber defense center in Tallinn.
Earlier, the Deputy Foreign Minister accused the United States of actively conducting operations against Russia in the information space. According to him, Washington is recruiting hackers, and also trains the Ukrainian “IT army”.
