Details of the bill on fines for the sale of medicines without a prescription specified
The draft law on penalties for the sale of medicines without a prescription does not apply to all drugs, but only psychoactive ones, which are subject to quantitative accounting and are included in the corresponding list approved by the Russian Ministry of Health. Such details were reported by the senator, one of the authors of the initiative, Irina Rukavishnikova.
Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The politician clarified that the main changes reflected in the document will affect the work of pharmacists. It is they who, according to deputies, most often violate the law and sell drugs without a prescription.
Earlier, State Duma deputies and senators of the Federation Council submitted to the lower house of parliament a bill on fines of up to 200 thousand rubles for pharmacists and officials for selling medicines without a prescription.
If the amendments are adopted, pharmacy employees who have violated the law will have to pay a fine of 10,000 to 20,000 rubles. They may also face a ban from working as a pharmacist for a period of six months to a year. In turn, it is proposed to punish individual entrepreneurs with a fine of 150,000 to 200,000 rubles.
