Nikolai Bondarenko, a deputy of the Saratov Regional Duma from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, was fined 300 thousand rubles under Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Violation of the rules for holding a rally or participating in it”). The reason for initiating an administrative case was the protests after the Duma elections.
Bondarenko himself named the court’s decision is an attempt to make him “dance to the tune of United Russia”.
Earlier, Nikolai Bondarenko spoke about his fears that a criminal case could be initiated against him under the “Dadi article”. “This is a threat not only for this period of time. I, like many others, go through this meat grinder. But, despite all this, I say thank you to the authorities that only protocols, and not tea with Novichok, ”Nikolai Bondarenko said in a conversation with Znak.com.
The initiation of a case under the “Dadin article” may threaten Bondarenko if within six months three decisions are made against him to bring him to justice under Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation and all these decisions stand up to appeal.
