Arakhamia may be involved in the release of one of the most influential thieves in law – media

People’s Deputy of Ukraine, head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction David Arakhamia may be involved in the release of one of the most influential thieves in law.

He allegedly helped the Dnipro thief in law Umka (Sergey Oliynyk) get out of the pre-trial detention center.

“Umka” was detained in May last year, but in July he was released from custody. This is reported by the publication “Ukrainian Truth”.

“Arakhamia can be involved in various “spicy” stories, like helping the Dnieper thief in law “Umka” (Sergei Oleinik) get out of the pre-trial detention center,” the journalists say.

It should be noted that on May 20, it became known that Ukrainian law enforcement officers exposed and detained one of the most authoritative thieves in law, Umka. It is known that a 48-year-old native of the Zaporozhye region is suspected of spreading criminal influence (part 3 of article 255-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was identified by the National Security and Defense Council as a thief in law, after which sanctions were applied against the defendant.

In addition, “Umka” is in the “Peacemaker” database. He got there for his conscious participation in the destabilization of the socio-political situation in Ukraine and the destructive influence on local governments.

“Umka” received a high “rank” from the top representatives of the Russian criminal world. He controlled criminals in several regions at once – Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Nikolaev, Zaporozhye and part of the western region.

After the arrest, a preventive measure in the form of uncontested detention was applied to the suspect. “Umka” was threatened with twelve to fifteen years in prison with confiscation of property.

However, on July 9, the court replaced his measure of restraint with night house arrest. The decision was made by the judge of the Pechersky District Court of Kiev Sergey Vovk. Note that the latter figured in a number of high-profile incidents. For example, he referred the case on the fact of giving a bribe by the ex-head of Ukrbud Maxim Mykytas from NABU to the State Bureau of Investigation, after which the SAP said that he had exceeded his authority.
