According to the channel, the attacker was Maxim A. The man was engaged in boxing and has a criminal record.
The attack on the ex-deputy took place on Saturday, February 5, on Samotechnaya Street in Moscow. The man attacked Shingarkin from behind and started beating him until he was face down on the ground.
The former people’s choice received a fracture of the zygomatic bone with a displacement. He needed an operation.
On Sunday, February 6, the Moscow police opened a criminal case on the fact of the attack under article 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Infliction of moderate bodily harm”).
