At her request, several citizens shared their experience of visiting clinics during the next wave of coronavirus.
“On January 31, I made an application by calling 122, a few hours later, they called me and quickly chattered that the doctor would not come to me, but I could go to polyclinic No. 99 of the Vyborgsky district of St. Petersburg personally. Upon arrival at the place, I found a full waiting room for patients, stuffed into the room so tightly that there could be no question of any observance of social distance. It’s just outrageous, ”said one of the townspeople.
“Today I stood for three hours at polyclinic No. 4 on Nalichnaya, 37, in the Vasileostrovsky district,” a resident of St. Petersburg said. “People stand outside for an hour, and then two more inside. There is no coordination, one huge live queue in four rooms: three on duty and one procedural, for smears. Put at least a machine with numbers and separate the queues, people get on their nerves, they start cursing and yelling, someone leaves, and as a result, the infection is spread.”
And a similar situation was observed in several other clinics in different parts of the Northern capital.

Earlier, the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, demanded that the work be organized so that there would be no queues in polyclinics and people would not wait for a doctor’s appointment on the street.
Since mid-January, St. Petersburg has been experiencing a sharp increase in the incidence of coronavirus, with more than 19,000 new patients recorded per day.
