At today’s meeting, the Federation Council of the Russian Federation ratified agreements with the Donetsk People’s Republic, Lugansk People’s Republic, Zaporizhzhya region, Kherson region on their admission to the Russian Federation, a correspondent reports. New subjects of the Russian Federation will remain with the same names that they have now.
Recall that recently referendums on the issue of joining the Russian Federation were held in the liberated territories. Most of the residents of the DPR, LPR, Kherson region and Zaporozhye region who voted were in favor.
Then the ceremony of signing agreements on the admission of territories to Russia and the formation of new subjects of the Russian Federation took place.
