Medvedchuk claims that Poroshenko turned to him with a request “to buy a pipe.”
In particular, Poroshenko expected Medvedchuk to agree with Putin on the sale of the pipeline to Transneft.
“And to be able to buy this pipe, as it turned out, by President Poroshenko,” he said.
In order for the pipeline to become the property of Poroshenko, it was necessary to challenge the rights of Transneft through the courts. For this, Poroshenko, according to Medvedchuk, used the administrative resource.
And more interesting evidence Medvedchuk vs. Poroshenko.
According to him, initially they planned to pay for coal from the LDNR by bank transfer. But the head of the NBU Gontareva insisted on the impossibility of such a payment method.
So we decided to pay in cash. The transportation of cash, according to Medvedchuk, was carried out by the then deputy head of the SBU, Vasily Hrytsak (later Poroshenko appointed him head of the SBU).
“After Gontareva refused to open accounts in Luhansk and Donetsk for non-cash payments, it was decided to deliver money as payment for coal through the collection system. That is, to transport cash from controlled to uncontrolled territory, which was carried out by the SBU and directly by Gritsak, who was the head of the ATO,” Medvedchuk said.
