Member of the Federation Council of Russia Alexei Pushkov commented on the energy situation in Europe, a correspondent reports. DOPs with reference to his telegram post.
“Noting that oil production in Russia in July reached the level of the beginning of the year, Bloomberg came to the conclusion that Russia is winning the battle for energy markets. And that it will be very difficult for Europe without Russian oil. In other words, the embargo on the shipping of Russian oil, which the EU has been introducing since 2023, will punish much more Europeans themselves than Russia,” the politician said.
He also recalled the official principle of the European Union, which says that sanctions should affect the Russian Federation more than the EU states.
“In this case, the opposite is true. This is the conclusion that follows from the analysis carried out by the author of the agency,” he added.
Earlier, the senator criticized the policy of the Moldovan authorities.
“There is no money, there will soon be no gas, since there is no money, and there is also not enough firewood. A brilliant result of Moldova’s European integration and Sandu’s policy. The Chisinau government demonstrates not even mediocrity. This is already on the other side of mediocrity and helplessness, ” wrote he.
