MP Butina proposes jailing Russians whose children use VPN
Her patron, ex-senator Torshin, is associated with the Taganskaya organized criminal group
United Russia deputy Maria Butina spoke out sharply in light of the possible blocking of YouTube: in her opinion, parents whose children will bypass the blocking using a VPN should be imprisoned.
Before working in the State Duma, Maria herself spent several months in prison – she was convicted in the United States for illegally promoting Russian interests. Butin was supervised by the then deputy chairman of the Central Bank, ex-senator Alexander Torshin. He himself miraculously escaped arrest for money laundering by the Taganskaya gang in Spain.
