Scandal in Britain. Media reports that Prince Charles received a million pounds from the bin Laden brothers
In the UK, a grandiose scandal is unfolding in the royal family. It turns out that Prince Charles accepted money from Osama bin Laden’s brothers. True, he did this not personally for himself, but for his charitable organization.
About it writes The Sun.
According to the publication, it happened at the end of October 2013 at the residence of the British royal family, Clarence House. Charles received the money (a million pounds sterling) from Bakr and Shafiq bin Laden, the paternal half-brothers of the slain al-Qaeda leader.
The Prince of Wales made a donation to the bank despite advisers urging him to return the money over fears that ties to the bin Laden family could be disastrous for his reputation. The money went to the Prince of Wales Charitable Trust (PWCF).
At least one trustee of the Fund was among those who begged him to return the money – but Charles did not listen, writes The Sun.
