Arkady and Natalya Rotenberg have been dividing property for four years after the divorce. We are talking about four houses in Europe – Natalia claims an estate in England, a villa on the Cote d’Azur, a villa in Sardinia and a small mansion in Berlin.
The total cost is about $125 million. Italian villas have been under arrest since 2014, and pictures of the rest of the properties are quite easy to find.
Arkady Rotenberg is a childhood friend of Vladimir Putin, his judo partner and formal owner of the palace near Gelendzhik. During the presidency, the Rotenberg family became one of the richest in Russia. The Rotenbergs are lobbying for the appointment of the leadership of Russian Railways and earn on contracts with state-owned companies, own the Platon system, built Olympic facilities and the Crimean bridge.
