Deputy of the Tomsk Regional Duma is suspected of committing an accident with serious consequences
On June 30, the investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the ICR for the Tomsk Region opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation by a person driving a vehicle of traffic rules, which negligently caused serious harm to human health) against a deputy of the Legislative Duma of the region.
On the evening of June 10, an accident occurred on Elizarovyh Street, 6 in Tomsk, involving a Honda X4 motorcycle and two Toyotas. Around 21:15 the motorcycle was moving along the main road. The 37-year-old Toyota Highlander driver, leaving the adjacent territory, did not give the two-wheeled vehicle an advantage in traffic. There was a collision, after which the motorcycle continued to move, flew into the oncoming lane, where it collided with a Toyota RAV 4 car.
The 25-year-old motorcyclist was injured and was taken to the hospital from the scene.
The maximum sanction of this article of the Criminal Code is up to two years in prison.
According to social networks and telegram channels, a few days later the injured motorcyclist fell into a coma. According to preliminary information, the deputy of the regional Duma Kirill Bazaev was driving the car that caused the accident.
