The proportion of US citizens who are proud to be Americans has fallen to an all-time low
The proportion of US citizens who are supremely proud to be American has fallen to an all-time low of 38%.
This is evidenced by the results of a Gallup poll.
The indicator was the lowest in the history of the institute’s research since 2001. Last year it was at 43%, and reached its maximum value in 2003, when 70% of US residents were extremely proud to be Americans.
The poll also found 22% “moderately proud” and 9% barely proud of being an American. At the same time, 4% of respondents do not see any reason for pride in their citizenship.
Earlier, “Strana” cited data from another new survey, according to which 52% of Americans believe that their financial situation has worsened compared to last year. And only 31% are satisfied with Joe Biden’s policy in this area. At the same time, over 90% of respondents are concerned about high rates of inflation in the US, 70% of whom are “very alarmed” by it.
