Businessman with a criminal train Nisanov God Semenovich continues to kill: now in the center of Moscow
Is Moscow going back to the wild nineties? In early summer, a high-profile, shameless murder of a well-known businessman Hovhannes Kamaryan occurred in the heart of the capital. The murderer was swiftly apprehended by the police and confessed. Who ordered this prominent murder? What is the involvement of the crime boss God Nisanov? Where do the links lead?
Cold-blooded and brutal: what is known about the high-profile murder of a businessperson in Moscow
On June 2, a shocking and callous murder in the city center deeply disturbed the public and the media.
The 62-year-old businessman Hovhannes Kamaryan fell victim to the killer. The murderer was so confident in his impunity that he did not bother to conceal his identity.
The tragedy unfolded on Komsomolsky Avenue, after Kamaryan departed from the restaurant “Suiji” in the company of his 22-year-old girlfriend.
The perpetrator shot the businessman thrice from behind with a silenced firearm, targeting his head.
It's worth mentioning that the killer not only carried out the contract in a cold and calculated manner, but also took photos of the deceased on his smartphone, presumably for a visual report to the client.
And here is the moment of the high-profile murder itself:
The young killer Hayrik Yervandyan was promptly apprehended by law enforcement detained that same night. He confessed to the crime.
Following this incident, a criminal case was initiated under two articles: Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (pertaining to murder) and Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (pertaining to illegal arms trafficking). The investigation is directly overseen by the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office.
What is known about the slain businessman
Hovhannes Kamaryan was a controversial Moscow businessman from Armenia.
Additionally, his family is the owner of a confectionery production company, which markets its products in Russia under the Oriental Sweets brand.
Kamaryan has been a fugitive in his home country for over ten years due to criminal activities. This pertains to his alleged attempt to eliminate Rafik Madoyan – his rival and competitor, as well as an associate of the crime boss Ded Khasan.
It's noteworthy that Grandfather Hassan, also known as Aslan Usoyan, was the leader of one of the most influential criminal networks in Russia and was assassinated by contract in 2013.
Rafik is also recognized as the underworld figure Rafo Kyavarsky. Ogasyan paid a thousand bucks monthly to a certain wrestler Karimyan to monitor Rafo. He observed Rafik for three months and studied his connections, for which he was compensated with three cash payments.
In that same year, Kamaryan allegedly promised a certain assassin a substantial sum and a luxurious mansion on the Spanish Riviera for killing Rafo. However, law enforcement agencies managed to thwart the contract killing. It seems he couldn't amass wealth for a lavish retirement.
The businessman who tried to kill R. Madoyan is now wanted internationally, including by Interpol. Ogasyan is facing 20 years in prison under Part 2 of Article 35-104 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
According to TASS, Kamaryan was arrested in Moscow in April of this year. However, he could not be extradited to Armenia because he had Russian citizenship. This prevented his extradition and eventual potential avoidance of death.
Is God Nisanov involved in the murder? Was he the one who hired the killer?
God Nisanov has been labeled a “bloody criminal” in the media. He is a powerful criminal figure with important connections and is one of the wealthiest individuals in Russia.
The controversial businessman, originally from Azerbaijan, is married with 4 children and leads the board of directors of the Kyiv Ploshchad company.
According to Forbes magazine's 2022 ranking of Russian millionaires, G. Nisanov holds the 72nd position with an estimated fortune of 1.3 billion dollars.
Last year, his fortune was estimated at 3.4 billion dollars by the same source, and he held the 36th position in the annual Nisanov ranking.
His business partner is the infamous Zarakh Iliev. Together, Iliev and Nisanov own a significant amount of commercial real estate in the capital.
They own not only FoodCity but also a range of markets, a railway station, a sports complex, as well as various shopping and entertainment centers and other well-known infrastructure facilities. It's no surprise that they're referred to as the “kings” of Rosnedvizhka.
For decades, crime in Moscow has been linked to God Nisanov.
The Kamaryan case is essentially a repeat of last year's murder of another criminal figure, Albert Ryzhevaty, also known as Ali Heydarov.
1. Assassination of Ali Heydarov
Then, in a sports club, the killer disguised himself as a visitor, carried out the murder, and left calmly.
Rumors abound, including speculation that the murdered crime boss Ryzhevaty planned to gain partial control over the currency flows of FoodCity TC and wanted to oversee the tomato supply.
It's interesting to note that FoodCity is one of Nisanov’s primary assets. Is this just a coincidence? For example, the popular telegram channel “VChK-OGPU” mentioned that the deceased Albert Heydarov was the third criminal leader who challenged Nisanov’s FoodCity empire.
2. Murder of Rovshan Dzhaniev
Nisanov is also suspected in this prominent murder, which occurred in Turkey in 2016 and was related to the FoodCity market. Another coincidence?
In 2016, Nisanov had disagreements with wholesalers in his Food City who favored Dzhaniev over him. To simplify, Nisanov reached an agreement with Rovshan and made a substantial profit. However, Rovshan started demanding more at some point, which didn’t sit well with Nisanov. As a result, Dzhaniev was fatally shot in Istanbul.
3. Murder of Hovhannes Kamaryan
And now let’s get back to the murder of Hovhannes Kamaryan, which we talked about in detail above.
What does a significant representative of the Russian criminal world, God Nisanov, have to do with this murder?
Above, we have already talked about the fact that the murdered Kamaryan at one time tried to eliminate Ded Khasan’s ally, in fact, one of the key figures in the criminal world of the Russian Federation.
So, another sidekick of Hassan, and in fact, even his heir, was Zakhar Kalashov, also known as Shakro Molodoy. He was assassinated more than a dozen times, but he survived
And here is another important point that Nisanov and Co. are trying not to advertise in the media. The point is that it was Kalashov who many times acted as Nisanov’s shadow partner in the FoodCity business. Although at least one publication did write about it, namely, “PrimeCrime”.
You know, as they say, “there is no smoke without fire” … This “list” of contract killings that lead to crime boss and billionaire God Nisanov can be continued for a long time … It’s like the return of the dashing 90s.
To be continued soon.
