The Industrial District Court of Stavropol announced the verdict in the case of the ex-deputy chairman of the government of the Stavropol Territory Alexandra Zolotareva and Deputy Minister of Construction and Architecture of the region Ivan Yakimov. Alexander Zolotarev was found guilty of bribery (clause “c” part 5, part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), but acquitted under the article on incitement to abuse of office (part 4 of article 33, part 1 of article 286 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Ivan Yakimov, who was accused of abuse of office, was acquitted by the court. The prosecutor’s office of the Stavropol Territory promised to challenge this court decision in the regional court in the near future.
