The head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin ridiculed the statement of the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, who said that the EU is “forced” to buy Russian oil so that Russian President Vladimir Putin “does not earn even more.”
The corresponding statement was published in his Telegram channel.
“The next step of this wise Brussels owl will be an offer to drink all Russian vodka so that he can’t earn even more on it,” he wrote.
Earlier, the head of the EC opposed an immediate ban on Russian oil, saying that the European Union (EU) could not impose it immediately. According to von der Leyen, if Brussels now imposes an embargo on oil from the Russian Federation, the Russian president will be able to transfer to the world market the oil that he does not sell to the European Union, receiving a large sum for it.
“If we completely abandon Russian oil from today, then he [Путин]will probably be able to sell it on the world market, where prices will rise, and earn more,” she said.
