In Europe, the second luxury yacht in a month has been detained, the ownership of which is attributed to the head of Rosneft, Igor Sechin, who fell under the sanctions. We are talking about the ship “Crescent” (“Crescent”), it was detained in Spain. This information is provided by the international agency Reuters.
The Cayman-flagged Crescent arrived in Spain from Italy in November 2021, according to Marine Traffic.
The Spanish Ministry of Transport officially confirmed the detention of the ship, specifying that the Cresent moored in the port city of Terragona on November 2 and was going to sail on March 4, but did not.
Built in Germany, Crescent is one of the largest yachts in the world. According to unofficial information, its cost exceeds 600 million dollars.
