Senator Alexander Pronyushkin, who posted a fake post about the death of LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, asked for forgiveness.
According to the senator, a message from the Mash Telegram channel about the death of the party chairman was sent to him by acquaintances. He did not believe this and forwarded the post to colleagues for clarification. Then, in an incomprehensible way, the message went to his personal channel, where there were at least 60 subscribers.
“It turned out that I forwarded the message to the channel in which I reported on my activities. It hung there for half an hour. Mash is a yellow press, an unreliable source of information,” Pronyushkin emphasized. He added that he did not comment on anyone.
Earlier, the Telegram channel Mash reported that Zhirinovsky died at 10:45 Moscow time after spending a day in a coma. Pronyushkin first confirmed the message, and later deleted the post. The death of the politician was denied by the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin and in the party itself.
