The Directorate of the ICR for Primorsky Krai has completed the investigation of the criminal case against the former general director of the regional Capital Repair Fund, ex-mayor of Nakhodka Andrey Gorelov.
He is accused of abuse of power and commercial bribery, the department said. According to investigators, in 2020 Gorelov lobbied for the interests of a building materials trading company. Thanks to this, the company was able to earn almost 4.3 million rubles. At the same time, Gorelov’s actions led to the fact that the construction company, which was engaged in the overhaul of apartment buildings under a contract with the fund, received less of the same amount and was unable to purchase the necessary materials on time, because of which it violated the terms of the contract and was fined.
In addition, from May 2020 to March 2021, Gorelov allegedly received commercial bribery in the amount of 2.2 million rubles. For this, he concluded an agreement with a construction company for the overhaul of houses in Vladivostok and ensured unimpeded acceptance and payment of work.
