A criminal case has been sent to the Railway District Court of Novosibirsk against former Deputy Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the region Sergey Stavitsky and ex-head of the Territorial Administration of Highways (TUAD) Mikhail Chumanov.
Stavitsky is accused of organizing embezzlement, Chumanov – of embezzlement, fraud and taking a bribe, the West Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office reported. According to investigators, in 2019 Chumanov rented Stavitsky’s personal car from his GKU. At the same time, the deputy minister continued to use it. Under the contract, he was paid 1.5 million rubles.
In addition, Chumanov allegedly received bribes totaling more than 1 million rubles from 4 commercial organizations for assistance in obtaining government contracts.
