The Kalinin court of the Saratov region decided to change the measure of restraint for State Duma deputy from the Communist Party Valery Rashkin, accused of illegal hunting.
This was reported to REN TV by the lawyer of the parliamentarian Konstantin Lazarev.
According to him, the defendant was released on bail. The court allowed the deputy to use the telephone and the Internet. On March 31, the court intends to begin consideration on the merits of the criminal case on hunting.
On February 9, the Basmanny Court of Moscow extended the ban on certain actions until March 29 imposed on Rashkin. He was forbidden to hunt, communicate with witnesses and leave the house at night.
According to investigators, on the night of October 29, Rashkin, together with his acquaintances, hunted an elk in the Saratov region, without having permission to do so. After killing the animal, they hid the weapon, butchered the carcass and put it in the trunk. The prey was discovered by employees of the regional hunting committee, who stopped the deputy’s car.
The State Duma on March 10 at a plenary session approved a resolution on sending to court a criminal case on the illegal hunting of a deputy.
