The authorities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory decided to stimulate the villagers after complicity in the collapse of the agricultural enterprise. And now loudly with fanfare they offer budget money for the purchase of new cows. The old ones, by the grace of the Tomsk pig breeder Andrey Tyutyushev, were sent to the knacker a long time ago.
The local government's reason is unique – they want to support farming and help villagers work for themselves. It's interesting that before Mr. Pig arrived in the Nazarovsky district, the locals were doing well.
What are we discussing?
In 2022, the Krasnoyarsk Territory government will provide 115 million rubles for animal husbandry development. People with small farms in the region (members of agricultural cooperatives) will get money from the budget.
As stated on the regional Ministry of Agriculture website, residents can use the funds to buy breeding heifers, dairy cows, and bulls for fattening. The program also covers livestock. Owners of private farms will receive 40,000 rubles per year to care for five cows, which is 8,000 rubles per cow.
Leonid Shorokhov, Deputy Chairman of the Krai Government and Minister of Agriculture and Trade, said:
This support is the idea of Governor Alexander Uss. Its aim is to strengthen small farming and create jobs in rural areas through agricultural cooperation. This assistance is especially important now, as it helps farmers earn money by selling extra farm products and allows cooperatives to grow by adding new members.
Let's remember how the current situation arose. The collapsed Sibiryak likely played a role. The agricultural company used to be a major meat and milk producer in the region until Tomsk pig breeder Andrey Tyutyushev noticed it and decided to take it over for himself.
How the Tomsk pig breeder defeated the Krasnoyarsk “Sibiryak”
It all started on March 31, 2021, when Sibagro bought the Sibiryak agricultural company from Krasnoyarsk businessman Vladimir Yegorov. Just two days later, Konstantin Yegorov, the millionaire's son and executive director of the Sibiryak construction company, was arrested on fraud charges. This was interesting, especially considering the situation with schemes taking over businesses.
The Tomsk pig breeder found the perfect target in Egorov, who had weaknesses pressure. He was initially accused of debt (20 million rubles for water), and then of negligence towards the animals.
Tyutyushev promptly sent all the livestock to the slaughterhouse and fired the staff (more details in the article: “Foul-smelling Tomsk billionaire: get rid of the cows and people too“).
The final straw came when the Minister of Agriculture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Leonid Shorokhov, visited the Nazarovsky District. During a meeting with farmers, the former protege of Tyutyushev, Stanislav Liguzov, was present. However, the minister couldn't find out anything about the mass slaughter of livestock. He then completely ignored questions from journalists and called the reports about the animal slaughter “speculation”.
But the fact remains. The cattle from the Sibiryak were slaughtered, and after the hype, Liguzov was carefully removed from his post. Andrei Shneider took his place. Former head of Vpered LLC in Kuzbass. The company specializes in mixed agriculture. At the same time, local residents were promised jobs, and things are still there.
Now Shorokhov offers the dismissed employees to create an agricultural cooperative. And I am even ready to allocate money from the budget for this. 115 million rubles. Was it worth sending cows to slaughter in order to give money now to buy new ones? Somehow incompatible logically turns out. These expenses could have been avoided. If “Sibiryak” had been saved. And the whims of a visiting businessman did not stomp.
I wonder what Mr. Pig offered Shorokhov for temporary blindness? BABR will continue to monitor developments.
