The EU ambassadors agreed to disconnect seven Russian banks from SWIFT. VTB, Rossiya, Otkritie, Novikombank, Promsvyazbank, Sovcombank and Vnesheconombank will fall under the sanctions.
About it informed TASS.
By data Bloomberg, some countries have pushed for more banks to shut down. The list of banks can still be expanded before the entry into force of the sanctions.
Earlier, the European Union, the US, Canada and the UK announced a decision to disconnect Russian banks from SWIFT. We are talking about banks that have already been sanctioned, but the measure may also affect other credit institutions. This is happening against the backdrop of Russia’s military actions in Ukraine, which are condemned by the countries of the West and the European Union.
Recall that the EU argued that banks that were subject to sanctions would be cut off from SWIFT. VTB, Otkritie, Sovcombank, Promsvyazbank and Novikombank, Alfa-Bank, VEB.RF, Rosselkhozbank, Novikombank, MKB, Rossiya, IS-Bank, ChBRR, Genbank and Gazprombank have already been sanctioned.
