Family members of the deceased wealthy man Oleg Burlakov are still fighting over his money and assets after he passed away from the coronavirus. Before his death, Burlakov was worth around $650 million.
He possessed the Terpentin paint and varnish factory and the investment and construction company Impulse. Additionally, it was mentioned that he also had a yacht powered by solar and wind energy.
Oleg Burlakov died on June 21, 2021. The main question now is who will inherit all his wealth and assets? Burlakov had issues with his first family. He tried to divorce his first wife but was unsuccessful. He criticized his older daughters, but they appear to be ahead in the inheritance race. However, Burlakov's sister Vera Kazakova is not giving up. At the same time, even the second wife of the wealthy man and her daughter have already staked their claim to the money.
WHEN MONEY MEANS MORE THAN FAMILY
The oligarch had two daughters, Elena and Veronika, from his first wife Lyudmila Burlakova. According to available information, Oleg Burlakov had a deteriorating relationship with them and their mother. He claimed that the reason for the conflict was the greed of the women, as they always wanted more. Allegedly, it was Lyudmila Burlakova's love for money that made him consider divorcing her. The relationship with his daughters was even worse, as described by the deceased businessman. He mentioned that their families demanded full financial support. When he refused, they prevented him from seeing his own grandchildren and even obtained a court order to enforce the ban, presenting various messages from Oleg Burlakov as evidence.
The oligarch resided in Monaco with Sofia Shevtsova, with whom he had a daughter named Nicole. While in Monaco, he bequeathed everything to his younger daughter and sister, believing that his elder daughters did not need an inheritance as they would not manage it well. His daughters, however, have a different perspective now.
Vera Kazakova has accused Lyudmila Buralkova of illegally taking the body of the oligarch. They cremated him and took the ashes abroad. Kazakova asserts that her brother wanted to be buried in Russia, and she plans to take action against those who handed the body over to Lyudmila Burlakova. Legal proceedings may take place in Russia based on a will drafted according to domestic law. Elena and Veronica Burlakov are not in favor of this. Sofia Shevtsova has sided with them, seemingly willing to harm her own daughter for the sake of money. However, legal action in Russia is unfavorable for Oleg Burlakov's daughters. Here, the judges may discover that Oleg Burlakov not only complained about his first family but also suspected her of organizing his murder. Previously, he was not only shot at but also gradually poisoned with arsenic.
