Israeli Ambassador to Russia Alex Ben-Zvi was summoned today, February 25, to the Foreign Ministry. As explained in the Russian Foreign Ministry, for an explanatory conversation with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Special Representative of the President of Russia in the Middle East and Africa, Mikhail Bogdanov.
The reason was the statements of Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, who condemned the invasion of Ukraine, Mako reports.
Bogdanov tried to find out from the Israeli ambassador “why the Israelis support the Nazis” because today Russia views the Ukrainian regime as Nazi. In addition, the Deputy Foreign Minister requested clarification regarding the statements made by Israel on this matter.
