Three defendants were sentenced to terms in the case of robbery of 83-year-old ex-director of Rostselmash Yuri Peskov and the murder of his 80-year-old sister.

A native of St. Petersburg, Andrei Korbut, and residents of the Rostov region, Sergei and Yevgeny Kizimenko, were found guilty under Articles 162 (“Robbery”), 111 (“Causing grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim”) and 105 (“Murder for mercenary motives”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation . Yevgeny Kizimenko was sentenced to 18 years in a strict regime colony, his brother Sergei – to 16 years. Andrei Korbut was sent to a colony for 14 years.
According to the investigation, in September 2019, Korbut, who lives in St. Petersburg, created an organized group, which included close relatives of his wife. In May 2020, the Kizimenko brothers, led by Korbut, attacked the family of a businessman in Velikiye Luki and stole more than a million rubles from the injured father and son. On the night of July 19, 2020, the defendants committed a second crime – they attacked the ex-head of Rostselmash and his sister, who lived in the village of Novomargaritovo, Azov district, Rostov region, and robbed them. They tied the victims with tape and took 350,000 rubles from them. The woman died on the spot due to the fact that she could not breathe because of the gag, and her brother died in December of the same year from his injuries and complications.
