In two Buryat villages, forced interruptions in the sale of alcohol led to a significant decrease in mortality among the population. Now local authorities are planning to introduce dry law here forever.
About it writes publication “New Buryatia”.
We are talking about the villages of Utata and Dalakhai in the Zakamensky district. In both cases, the owners of the stores changed and it took them some time to obtain the necessary licenses and reconstruction.
According to local doctors, in Utat, mortality has decreased by 33.3% over the past year (3 people, not 9, as in 2020). In the age category over 49 years, mortality decreased by 16.7%, up to 49 years – by 66.7%.
