The chairman of the All-Russian Officers’ Assembly, Colonel-General Leonid Ivashov, who demanded that Vladimir Putin resign, said that Russia “needs magicians, knights and [Иосиф] Stalin.”
“September elections [депутатов Госдумы] showed that all the parties that claimed to get into the State Duma did not present a detailed program for the future. Basically it’s promises. The goal is to get into the Duma at any cost. <…> We [Партия дела] – the only party that can, in alliance with the intellect and holy shoulder straps, stop the process of the destruction of Russian statehood. We need magicians, knights, Kulibins, and we miss Joseph Stalin. You have to wait for it”declared Leonid Ivashov in the fall of 2021. But the video with this performance was published on the site All-Russian Officers’ Assembly just now. Ivashov’s video was accompanied by a question: “How do you feel about Ivashov’s statement at the officers’ meeting?”
Recall that at the end of January, Ivashov said that the Russian political elites are also responsible for escalating the situation around Ukraine, who thus want to retain power and “preserve the wealth stolen from the people.”
“We demand from the President of the Russian Federation, we are officers of Russia, to abandon the criminal policy of provoking a war in which the Russian Federation will find itself alone against the combined forces of the West, to create conditions for the implementation in practice of Article 3 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation (it states, among other things, that no one can usurp power) and resign,” Ivashov said in an open letter.
