The lawyers filed appeals against the decision of the Moscow City Court to liquidate the human rights center “Memorial”.

He explained that the lawyers in the complaint ask to cancel the decision of the Moscow City Court, including in connection with the disproportionate sanction in the form of liquidation.
According to Biryukov, the human rights organization eliminated all violations of the law long before the prosecutor’s office filed a lawsuit.
On December 29, 2021, the Moscow City Court decided to liquidate the human rights center “Memorial” at the suit of the Moscow prosecutor’s office.
On February 5, the head of Memorial, Yan Rachinsky, was summoned to the Investigative Committee of Russia because of a complaint about the rehabilitation of Nazism.
