In Nazran, a court released from custody two natives of Chechnya, Artur Damaev and Rivzan Ibragimov, who are suspected of attacking Sarazhdin Sultygov, co-chairman of the Mekh-Khel public organization.

The third suspect in the attack on a public figure, former OMON officer Zurab Idigov, was put on the wanted list and has not yet been found. A criminal case was initiated against him under article 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Beatings”).
Earlier it was reported that in Nazran a group of thugs beat Sarazhdin Sultygov when he was at home. The man was thrown to the floor, beaten with hands and feet. The attackers filmed the incident. After the beating, they fled in a BMW car with Chechen license plates. The victim told Fortang that he had filed a complaint with the police.
In mid-January, Sarazhdin Sultygov sharply criticized the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, who made statements about the border between Ingushetia and Chechnya. In his address, he put forward three claims against Kadyrov. Thus, he responded to the ultimatum of the head of Chechnya, in which he gave the Ingush three days to bring charges against him. Otherwise, the head of Chechnya promised to take full responsibility for those who are trying to denigrate him.
