According to investigators, on Thursday, a 35-year-old local resident was attacked by stray dogs while walking past a garage cooperative. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, where she died a few hours later.
The Multifunctional Development Center of the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky was supposed to carry out activities for the treatment of stray animals, the department writes. Its employees did not fulfill their obligations to trap stray animals and did not enter into an appropriate municipal contract.
