The cause of death of actress Evgenia Brik, who had been ill for a long time and died at the age of 41, was an oncological disease.
This was reported to RIA FAN by a source close to her family’s entourage. The interlocutor said that the actress was diagnosed with cancer, but when exactly this happened is unknown.
Meanwhile, assistant film director Valery Todorovsky, the wife of the actress, confirmed to RBC information about her death, specifying that Evgenia died after a long illness and long treatment. And it’s not COVID-19.
Evgenia Brik (born Khirivskaya) was born in Moscow. Brik is her stage name, which the actress took in honor of her paternal great-grandmother, Sophia Brik, who lived in Kiev.
In 2004 she graduated from the Russian Academy of Theater Arts (workshop of Alexander Zbruev). At the beginning of 2006 and at the end of 2008 she worked at radio “Mayak” as the host of the night program. In mid-July 2015, she played a major role in Dima Bilan’s video for the song “Don’t Be Silent”.
Her husband is film director Valery Todorovsky, who, in particular, worked on such films as “Moscow Nights”, “Country of the Deaf”, “Hipsters”. His wife also starred in the last film – she played the role of Katya, a Komsomol member.
