Employees of the National Guard and the PPS detained two men who, in the form of police officers, were making “bookmarks” with drugs in the Pionersky district of Yekaterinburg.
As the head of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Sverdlovsk Region told Znak.com, at 13:50 local residents reported to the duty unit about “strange personalities” in the courtyards of houses on Sulimov Street.
“One of the men was indeed dressed in a uniform similar to that of a police captain, and the second was dressed in a uniform similar to that of a major. Both – with signs of inappropriate behavior. Their identities have already been established by the detectives of the criminal investigation,” Colonel Gorelykh said.
According to the official representative of the central office, the detainees are non-working residents of Yekaterinburg: 33-year-old Kuldashev, who lives on Ryabinin Street, and 37-year-old Vazhenin from Kraulya Street. Both have convictions for involvement in theft, robbery, fraud, drug trafficking and a serious accident. The uniform was confiscated from them as material evidence, and the substances were sent for examination.
“The detainees are being checked for involvement in other crimes. They will be held liable for illegally wearing the uniform of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as for drug possession, provided that the study confirms this. It turns out where they got the uniform,” said Gorelykh.
The detained men are in custody.
