The Second Western District Military Court sentenced Vasily Minchik, a member of the regional public organization “United People’s Communal Partnerships”, known as PMC E.N.O.T., to 6 years in prison. He was found guilty of two robberies (Part 4 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The defendant pleaded guilty and made a deal with the investigation.
About it informs “Kommersant”.
E.N.O.T., according to investigators, was created by two FSB officers. The organization included people who had gone through military operations. Disguising their actions as operational-search activities, members of the E.N.O.T. confiscated money and other valuables from the victims, which they kept for themselves. The victims of PMCs were those suspected of organizing smuggling of consumer electronics to Russia.
Minchik, as a witness, participated in inspections of the housing of residents of the Moscow region Vladimir Aristarkhov and Alexander Ogolev, who, along with other persons, were suspected of organizing smuggling. During the inspections, they lost valuables and money.
The convict fully admitted his guilt and testified against other participants of E.N.O.T. and leaders of the organization. Initially, Minchik was also charged with “Theft” and “Banditism”, but the prosecution refused these articles.
In May 2020, Minczyk was sentenced to 4 years in a racketeering case. According to the case file, Minchik and another “raccoon” Denis Karaban arrived from Moscow in the Tuapse district and, following the instructions of the leaders of the organization, attacked a local resident, Pyotr Suponev.
