The prosecutor’s office of the Trans-Baikal Territory does not see violations in the words of the deputy of the Legislative Assembly Alexander Mikhailov, who proposed to shoot dogs and introduce an execution for animal rights activists.

According to the department, on January 25-28, the prosecutor’s office received 76 applications to bring Mikhailov to justice for insult, the punishment for which is provided for by part 2 of article 5.61 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of 5-10 thousand rubles.
The document states that the deputy’s statements were not indecent or otherwise contrary to moral standards. Mikhailov, who was interviewed during the check, also explained that he had no intention of offending anyone.
