The 2nd Western District Military Court in a special order considered the robbery case of Vasily Minchik, a fighter of the PMC “raccoon”.
It is reported by “Kommersant”.
According to investigators, Minchik, along with other fighters, participated in the operational activities of employees of the Moscow department of the FSB – Alexander Mrishchuk and Anton Baryakshev.
In December 2016, with the help of raccoons, investigators inspected the housing of residents of the Moscow region Vladimir Aristarkhov and Alexander Ogolev, suspected of organizing smuggling. After investigative measures, valuables and money disappeared from the houses of entrepreneurs. The victims contacted the police.
The investigation assessed the action of the security forces and PMC fighters as a robbery. Vasily Minchik was recognized as his accomplice, but agreed to cooperate with the investigation. He fully admitted his guilt and testified against other fighters and leaders of the organization.
In May 2020, the court sentenced Minchik to four years in prison for extortion. This time, the PMC fighter received five years in prison. Taking into account the first term, he was finally assigned six years in a strict regime colony.
