Russian tour operators note the high rate of early booking of trips to Turkey. According to their forecasts, before the summer season, prices can soar by 25-50%, the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) said in a statement.
At Coral Travel, Turkish early sales are already 38.5% higher than before the pandemic. However, the company emphasizes that such an increase is mainly due to the fact that the early booking campaign started much earlier: in the summer of 2021, while before the pandemic, all such promotions usually started only in November.
TUI reported a significant (more than 100%) increase in volumes in comparable periods.
For PEGAS Touristik and TEZ Tour, the number of tourists who have already booked holidays in Turkey by early booking has increased by almost 10 times compared to the winter of 2020-2021.
But compared to the winter of 2019-2020, the volumes of most companies are now even lower by 10-25%.
The overall forecast is that by the end of the 2022 early booking campaign, all market players will return to or exceed pre-pandemic volumes in Turkey.
