In Moscow, unknown persons beat up former State Duma deputy from the Liberal Democratic Party Maxim Shingarkin, REN TV reports.
He was taken to the hospital with a suspected broken nose. The details of the incident are unknown.
Shingarkin was a candidate for the post of governor of the Moscow Region, in the elections to the State Duma in 2021 he ran on the lists of the Russian Party of Freedom and Justice.
In 2016, Shingarkin told the police that he was beaten by eight security guards at the European shopping center in Moscow. According to the politician, security officers did not want to let him inside the shopping complex. In 2012, he got into a fight with two security guards at Sheremetyevo Airport, refusing to go through the screening procedure.
